Using the origins of the botanic, nature's most proud 'original' moment, as a thematic starting point - Forme uses the design element of a pattern repeat to subvert our concept of the original by replacing it with a reproduction. Creating an image that sees the original as a continuing repeat of never ending reproducibility. Referring to both nature's inherent ability to reproduce in a biological sense, and man's desire to reproduce in a synthetic sense. The origin versus the artifice.

Orchis Morio, literally ‘green winged orchid’ in Latin, was inspired by a passion for the fantastical found in the everyday.

Fabric designs are the product of hand drawn, digital and screen-printing processes. The fluidity is achieved by manipulating organic, textured and botanical forms. Always seeking to abstract patterns from the natural, and never shying from extravagance.

All fabrics are professionally screenprinted with solvent free inks onto organic basecloths.
